Video #9: Press Down
With this series of short videos, I’m going to help you avoid a whole bunch of S. H. I. T.
Okay, so for triceps we can do the Press Down. We want to make sure we keep our elbows in to the side and the wrists aligned. By keeping the wrists aligned, I mean not letting the knuckles turn up or turn down. Also, keep the elbows down, so that you’re not pressing in front of yourself.
So, bring the elbows in, making sure your arms are aligned. Press down, and the knuckles will face down toward the floor. Press down with the knuckles.
If you want more range of motion, bend forward a little bit. You still want to watch out for wrist alignment. We don’t want Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Glycemic Index vs Glycemic Load

Caffeine: 14 better options to ease SAD
Nearly a year ago to the dot, I wrote an article about Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), but there I focused on the importance of getting access to a full range spectrum of light. Here I’d like to focus on caffeine and sleep’s effect on SAD. I’ll also offer suggestions for what to do to help you feel better on the dark days.

Avoid fish oil supplements
I don’t generally promote supplements. Most of them play to specific, isolated points of medical research to serve as a magic pill. One remarkable example of this is fish oil.
